Fourteen years in the classroom, a love of the runway and a quiet conviction: Mishti Rajput takes her place at Miss India+

For a long time, a pageant was judged on three things: the walk, the gown and the nerve to hold a stage. Mishti Rajput has the walk and the nerve. She also has a degree in Physics, and she would like you to know it.

“I’m a beauty, but with the BRAIN,” she says, and the smile that follows tells you she has said it before and will say it again. It is a line she wears the way other contestants wear a statement earring: lightly, and with complete confidence.

Between Two Worlds

Mishti was born and raised in Nashik, Maharashtra, in a family whose roots lie in Rajasthan. Growing up between the two gave her something that cannot be taught in a pageant workshop: an ease with contrast. At home there was heritage, with its habits of respect, discipline and pride in where one comes from. Outside it was the pace of a modern Maharashtrian city, with all its ambition.

She carries both without strain. The values of her upbringing sit comfortably beside the curiosity of a woman who wants more from life than she was handed.

In 2026, that curiosity takes her to the national stage. Mishti has been selected to represent Maharashtra at IBC Belleza Luxe Diva 2026, an OTT reality show-based beauty pageant, where she will compete in the Miss India+ category. The format is part competition, part television, and entirely public. She has prepared for it with the calm of someone who has been watched before.

A Different Kind of Résumé

Most contestants arrive with a portfolio. Mishti arrives with a transcript.

She graduated in Physics from Savitribai Phule Pune University, a subject that rewards patience and logic and has little interest in the first answer that sounds good. It is an unusual foundation for a woman who now walks ramps, but she sees the thread running through both. Physics taught her to ask why things behave as they do. Pageantry, she has found, asks much the same question of people.

After graduating, she chose the classroom. For fourteen years she has worked in education, teaching and guiding young minds, and the years show in the way she carries herself: clear in speech, warm in manner, entirely at ease with being listened to. Few people spend fourteen years in front of students without learning how to hold a room.

That is the quiet secret of her stage presence. Her composure was not manufactured for the cameras. It was built, patiently, in front of a blackboard.

The Making of a Pageant Woman

Modelling and pageantry came into her life in 2018. At first it was a new chapter, a curiosity pursued alongside a full career. Then, season by season, it grew into something serious.

She has since taken part in several beauty pageants, walked the ramp and earned titles that sharpened her confidence and her sense of the stage. Ask her what those years gave her, though, and she does not point to the trophies. What she values more is an unhurried composure, the steadiness of a woman who no longer rushes toward the spotlight because she knows she can stand in it.

The glamour is real, and she enjoys it. But look past the photographs, the runway moments and the long weeks of preparation, and you find a woman who has spent years building a life that does not depend on applause.

Beauty with a Conscience

For Mishti, teaching has never been only a profession. It is her way of giving back.

In her work as an educator, she has supported students from underprivileged backgrounds, especially those held back by money rather than ability. She has helped provide school uniforms and essential study materials, the modest, practical things that decide whether a child stays in class or quietly drops out. These are not grand gestures. They are the kind of help that changes the course of a school year, and sometimes of a life.

Her belief is simple, and she holds to it firmly: circumstances should not decide potential.

Her care does not stop with people. Mishti volunteers for street animals, feeding stray dogs, cats and cattle herself and arranging medical treatment when they need it. It began as everyday kindness, the sort many people feel and few act on. Over time it has grown into a larger dream: an NGO devoted to the welfare of street animals, built around adoption, proper care and sustained feeding programmes.

It is a side of her that exists far from the cameras, and she seems to prefer it that way.

The Crown as a Beginning

Mishti does not speak of the crown as a destination. To her it is a platform, and she has a clear idea of what she wants to build on it.

Her ambitions run across three fields that may look unrelated from a distance. She wants to become a supermodel. She wants to keep inspiring through education. She wants to give her social work, for students and for animals, a wider reach. To her, these are not competing goals but parts of one life, joined by a single conviction: influence should mean something.

At IBC Belleza Luxe Diva 2026, she arrives with more than runway experience. She brings a Physics degree, fourteen years in education, students who have good reason to be grateful and a dream of a refuge for animals that have no one else to speak for them.

In an industry where appearance can swallow the whole story, Mishti Rajput offers a fuller one.

Beauty with intellect. Ambition with empathy. A crown with a purpose.
