Honouring the Power of Service: Swati Pawar to Receive Nari Shakti Samman Award – 2026

Honored on International Women’s Day for outstanding contribution to social service

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March 2026, noted social worker Swati Pawar will be honoured with the prestigious “Nari Shakti Samman Award – 2026” in recognition of her outstanding and sustained contribution to social service. The award will be presented at a special felicitation ceremony jointly organised by Srushti Foundation, Mumbai and Rugn Hakk Abhiyan.

Swati Pawar has consistently worked at the grassroots level for the protection of women’s rights, patients’ rights, and social justice. Her work spans across women empowerment, healthcare advocacy, legal guidance, education awareness, and support for underprivileged communities. Through her compassionate yet determined approach, she has emerged as a strong voice for those who are often unheard.

A significant part of her work focuses on supporting women facing domestic violence, economic exploitation, and social injustice. She has actively intervened in numerous cases by coordinating with administrative authorities, hospitals, and legal systems, ensuring that victims receive timely justice and dignity. Her efforts in safeguarding patients’ rights within the healthcare system have brought relief and awareness to many families.

Swati Pawar is widely recognised as a bridge between citizens and administration, helping common people navigate complex systems to access their rightful benefits and services. Through her association with Srushti Foundation, Mumbai and Rugn Hakk Abhiyan, she has played a key role in spreading social awareness, conducting advocacy initiatives, and delivering direct support to those in need.

Adding a meaningful social dimension to the celebrations, a blood donation camp will also be organised on the same day under the guidance of Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Hospital, Jogeshwari, with the powerful theme “Blood Donation – For Her Existence.” This initiative reflects the true spirit of International Women’s Day by combining honour with humanitarian action.
